Adapting your workforce for the future – are you ready?

In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive marketplace, it is crucial for organisations to embrace change to succeed in the new challenging business environment.

How prepared and flexible is Guernsey to move forward and adapt to new ways of doing business? How ready is the present and future workforce? What will be the next business sector in an increasingly digital and technological age where acquiring new skills is essential? Communicating the importance of adapting to change will be just part of the business topics featured in a Question Time style debate hosted by the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) in late January.

Business leaders, opinion formers and HR professionals are invited to discuss what matters and what organisations can do for the future with four prominent panellists. These are Aaron Chatterley, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Feel Unique, Patrick Rice, Chief Officer for Law Enforcement in Guernsey, Evelyn Brady, Partner, Price Waterhouse Cooper and Jon Buckland, Chief Officer, Education Department. This event will be facilitated by Advocate Jessica Roland, Managing Partner, Mourant Ozannes.

Janine Lane, Chair of the Guernsey CIPD Branch “We are excited to be holding the first ever people focussed business debate with business leaders from different employment sectors. It represents a new venture for the CIPD locally and will showcase the importance of considering all aspects that drive organisational success and not just the short term bottom line figures.

Jessica Roland, Managing Partner at sponsors Mourant Ozannes said, “Positioning a business to adapt to change does not happen overnight. We are therefore delighted to support an event that will provide delegates with the opportunity to learn from shared experiences of both a fantastic panel and those of local business leaders and peers.”

Join the ‘Question Time’ debate on Thursday 23rd January 2014 at St Pierre Park Hotel from 5.00 to 7.00 pm. To reserve a place and make your payment of £15 please email and for more information look at our website at
