Appleby Guernsey adds to its legal rankings.
Having been assessed by Chambers UK less than two years after openings its office in Guernsey, Appleby continues to receive international legal recognition, most recently with its Chambers UK 2013 legal rankings.
The Corporate & Commercial team is quoted to have a “commercially pragmatic approach”, highlighting the “thoughtful and responsive way the firm anticipates potential issues”; and the Private Client & Trust team is said to be “very quick to respond when we have questions and quite competitive on costs”.
Two practice heads have also been individually ranked: Gavin Ferguson, Managing Partner and head of Private Client & Trusts, for his “in-depth knowledge” and “sound technical skills”; and Barney Lee, head of Appleby’s Corporate & Commercial team for his “commerciality and focus on detail, offering clients a thriving practice centred on the development and restructuring of investment funds”. Elsewhere, Litigation & Insolvency head, Jeremy Le Tissier was included as an “up-and-coming individual,” with clients making note of his “technical strength and common sense.”
Commenting on the rankings, Gavin Ferguson, Managing Partner of Appleby’s Guernsey office said: “Especially as we are still a relatively new firm to Guernsey, we are delighted with this recent addition to our existing international legal rankings and humbled to receive such remarkable praise from our clients and peers. We continually strive to develop our client service offering and expertise across our core practice groups and this year’s Guide further reinforces our client dedication.”
