Private Bank of the Year Caribbean
The Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards recognise excellence in the private wealth sector in major international financial centres. The awards are judged by an international panel of practitioners from all sectors with experience of working with advisers in all the jurisdictions covered.
In 2014, Citywealth named Butterfield Private Bank of the Year Caribbean, Trust Company of the Year Caribbean and Trust Company of the Year Switzerland. Butterfield was also named Runner Up in the Trust Company of the Year Guernsey category.
Brendan McDonagh, Butterfield’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer said, “Butterfield is pleased to once again have been included by Citywealth in its shortlist of companies being considered for International Financial Centre Awards. The fact that our businesses in all of the key regions in which we operate have received nominations and been shortlisted is a testament to the consistent strength and quality of Butterfield’s wealth management offerings internationally.
“During 2014, we have continued to work to further enhance those offerings with the acquisitions of Legis Group’s Guernsey trust operation in April, and parts of HSBC’s banking business in the Cayman Islands, anticipated to complete in the Autumn.
“We were honoured to receive three Citywealth awards in 2014 and we hope to receive similar recognition next year.”
The 2015 Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards will take place on 21 January 2015 at Grange City Hotel in London.
