A new team has been created at C5 Alliance Group to focus on the specific business needs of SMEs (small to medium enterprises), giving them access to flexible, cost effective services.
The new team, led by Senior Consultant Marcus Schaffrath, will tailor its offering towards the typical service requirement of a business this size, including the implementation of Office 365, on-premise, hybrid and private cloud solutions and their support.
Mr Schaffrath said that the team will be involved in a number of initial implementations as well as ongoing technical support.
‘With many new SMEs arising locally, we felt that now was the time to offer a more targeted service. Some of these businesses will not have the capacity for significant on-premise infrastructure and we are seeing an increasing trend towards hybrid and off premise cloud solutions,’ he said.
Mr Schaffrath will be joined in the team by consultants Pawel Dolny and Paul Milon.
‘Flexibility will be key; particularly for start-up companies. Our contracts will not tie in SME’s for long-term deals and there won’t be set monthly fees. We’ll get to know the clients and hopefully be seen as a trusted advisor. Ultimately, our goal will be to support their business growth to a point where they can start to make use of the larger enterprise services also provided by the C5 Group.’
Rob Leader, Group Managing Director of the C5 Alliance Group said that forming the new team was deemed a necessary move in the current business environment.
‘This type of client relies wholly on third party involvement for its IT requirements and technical support. There is a real drive in the Channel Islands to support entrepreneurship and create new businesses. We wanted to be in a position to offer a bespoke service, geared towards the specific needs of small companies, and provide solid ongoing relationships.
‘This team has considerable experience in meeting those needs.’
