Two team leaders from C5 Alliance Group will be visiting the United States this month to attend different major Microsoft events.
Aonghus Fraser, C5’s Head of Process and Platforms is attending the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada from 3-6 March while Dan Hare, Director and Head of Business Intelligence at C5, is attending Microsoft Dynamics Convergence 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia from 4-7 March.
Mr Fraser, who is C5’s Lead Consultant on Microsoft SharePoint, said that the annual conference would be an invaluable networking opportunity and a chance to gain the most up-to-date knowledge for his team’s projects.
‘With more than 10,000 delegates attending from six continents, the networking is unparalleled. It’s all about learning from other experts in the field and confirming that we are following best practice when delivering solutions.
‘I’m particularly interested in furthering my knowledge of Office 365, Yammer and Cloud strategies. There is a growing trend towards hybrid solutions among our clients and they are increasingly turning to us for social internal communications solutions using SharePoint and Yammer.
‘I’m looking forward to bringing this knowledge back to the team, particularly our newly launched SME team, which focuses on the service needs of smaller businesses. Staying on top of the latest innovations ensures we give our customers the best advice possible,’ he said.
Mr Hare said his attendance at this year’s Dynamics Convergence would also provide considerable value to their client base.
‘My visit is less about updating technical expertise and more about developing our understanding of the future direction of the CRM and AX platforms from a strategic perspective. It’s a chance to network with other integrators and partners and gain knowledge that benefits the work we undertake locally. Platforms help businesses grow, and by attending these conferences we can offer our clients future strategic direction,’ he said.
Rob Leader, chief operating officer at C5 Alliance Group, said that developing advanced knowledge and direction in line with clients’ needs is a key priority for the group.
‘Investing in knowledge helps keep us ahead of the curve as a solutions provider. By Dan and Aonghus attending these important global events, we will be able to provide up to date perspective and advice on Microsoft’s direction.
‘Both will come back with solutions and strategies that help our clients increase their productivity, agility, and competitiveness,’ he said.
