COSTA Coffee will be donating five pence from every drink sold to Les Bourgs Hospice.
The company, which has two outlets in St Peter Port, is supporting the hospice’s Hospice-tality for our Hospice fundraising initiative for a week from Monday 30th September. All drinks, including coffees, teas, hot chocolates and iced drinks, will be included.
‘We thought Hospice-tality for our Hospice was a fantastic idea and wanted to find a way in which we could support it. We’re hoping that people will use this as an opportunity to meet up with friends and family and support what is an extremely worthy charity,’ said Costa’s operations director Peter Clarke.
‘As well as making the donation ourselves, we will also have collection boxes out so that people can donate money themselves so that we can make a considerable donation to the event’s fundraising total.’
Les Bourgs fundraising administrator Trish De Carteret said Costa Coffee being involved meant hundreds of islanders could support the initiative.
‘We’re very grateful to Sandpiper and Costa Coffee for getting involved. We have been delighted with the response we have had to Hospice-tality for our Hospice as it’s something that everyone can get involved with whether it’s tea and cake at home, a dinner party or a staff get-together.’
Hospice-tality for our Hospice started on 1st September and events can be held up until the end of October. All the money raised will go towards the hospice’s £800,000 annual running costs.
