A new exhibition called Exposure, by Kaya Ozard and Pierre Ehmann will be showing at the greenhouse at the Guernsey Information Centre from Wednesday 27th August till Sunday 31st. The exhibition is a series of collaborative pieces based on how everyday objects can be appropriated, manipulated, and assembled to create an explosive and emotive space. This show will celebrate both of their achievements and skills and will be a great opportunity for Kaya and Pierre to publicly showcase their work before heading off to university in September. There is also an opportunity to see the show and meet these emerging artists on the 29th August from 5.30pm to 7pm, after the harbour carnival.
Both young artists have recently qualified from the College of Further Education, with top marks of a triple distinction star in the level 3 Art and Design BTEC course. Pierre Ehmann has secured a place at Chelsea College of Art, while Kaya Ozard will be attending St Martins Central College; both of which are renowned art colleges.
Caroline Corfe, general manager at GAC says “I am pleased that these two young artists have come forward to show new work as their fresh and innovative approach to installations and sculpture is exciting and challenging. They are both determined to succeed in their creative careers and Guernsey Arts Commission are pleased to be supporting them in their first exhibition on island.”
Come and catch the exhibition during the five days it is open. Free admission.
