Local charities only have a few days left in which to apply for a grant from the Christmas Lottery.
The Association of Guernsey Charities, which operates the application process, has already received several applications. The process is intentionally kept straightforward to make it easy for any charity to apply.
“We would like to take this opportunity to remind any charity wanting to apply for funding, that applications need to be submitted to the Association by the end of January” said Malcolm Woodhams, Treasurer, The Association of Guernsey Charities. “We don’t want any organisations to miss out on this opportunity to apply for a grant”.
Application forms, together with further information about how to apply, can be found on the Association’s website – www.charity.org.gg
Malcolm Woodhams added “ The Association is keen to support a variety of local projects and services, and we encourage all charities to review their needs for 2013, and submit an application if require some help with funding”.
Completed applications, together with accounts and any other documents, must arrive to the Association no later than Thursday 31 January. The 8 members of the Association’s Council will then meet to discuss the applications and decide how the lottery proceeds should be split.
