Free Youth Gigs at STYX Music

| January 8, 2014 | 0 Comments

Guernsey Arts Commission is delighted to announce their new and exciting collaboration with The Western Parishes Youth Development Project to bring live music to all young people of the islands.

In response to the difficulties young people in Guernsey experience trying to see live bands, STYX will be running monthly gigs. Visiting bands will be invited to play alongside local ones showcasing our homegrown talent.

The gigs will be launched on Saturday 18th January, 7pm-10pm with local legends the Sark band ‘The Recks’ to start us off. There will be opportunity to meet the musicians, visit the centre and see what can be achieved with a little help and some practice.

If you are a young person or if you know of a young person aged 11-21 they can win free tickets for them and a friend by subscribing to www.styxmusic.org. Full details of what else the Guernsey Arts Commission is currently doing on the island can be found on our website www.arts.gg.
