Fusion Leisure has appointed Phil Midgley as its operations manager.
Mr Midgley has worked at Fusion Nightclub and Luna Bar since the club’s doors opened in 2009 in a part-time role with responsibility for the liquor licence, staff liaison and communicating with police and St Peter Port Constables.
Mr Midgley previously worked as an IT systems administrator at Collins Stewart and was responsible for supporting staff with IT issues and assisting with the on-going development of the company IT network and infrastructure.
At Fusion Mr Midgley is heading up the club’s event planning, membership management, marketing and promotions and personnel (HR).
Mr Midgley said the success of the bar and nightclub meant the new role was needed.
“We have seen a steady increase in popularity of both Luna and Fusion over the years and it was time for someone to take on the operations responsibilities full time.
“I’ve worked in all areas from glass collecting to front-of-house and behind the scenes,” he said.
Fusion Leisure owner, Adam Burroughs said: “Phil has had a range of experience dealing with issues that can arise in this sector and he will be a valuable addition to the full time team and our customers will see an even greater level of service across the board.”
