The Guernsey FC team wore the MUG kit on Saturday (28th April) in the warm-up before the game…. the whole field was MUG turquoise, and we’re so grateful that the team choose to support our Male Uprising Guernsey charity and get our message about male cancers in the community.
The announcer was also kind enough to read out a message of support to Guernsey FC MUG just before kick-off, from rugby legend John Hartson:
“Congratulations to Tony Vance and the lads on winning the Combined Counties League Division One and thank you for helping raise the MUG profile this afternoon, a local charity trying to raise awareness of male cancer and raise £250,000 over the next three years to be used for research into testing, cures and treatments of prostate, bowel and testicular cancer in Guernsey.
I hope everyone connected with Guernsey FC enjoyed the celebrations and I will look out for your results next season.”
