GUERNSEY Youth Bowling Club (GYBC) has received a new training kit thanks to a donation from Butterfield Bank.
With the club now totalling 30 members aged between 10 and 18 years, the much needed kit came as a welcome boost.
“This is not the first time Butterfield Bank has helped us and we are grateful to Butterfield Bank for this generous donation. It makes a difference to team morale and with the new season approaching, the club is keen to perform and look smart whilst doing so,” said GYBC President and senior manager at Butterfield Bank, Karen Winter.
With two divisions, the club trains on Saturday mornings at the Island Bowl. The team also participates in the National Bowling Championships in May each year alongside 2,200 bowlers from around the UK.
John Robinson, Deputy Managing Director at Butterfield Bank said; “We are delighted to continue our support of the Guernsey Youth Bowling Club. Participation in team events such as ten pin bowling can provide many benefits for youngsters. We hope the shirts will add to the camaraderie of the Youth team during the season ahead.”
