Local design agency Coast Media launches revolutionary internet search engine for Guernsey home hunters, providing instant up to date information on hundreds of island properties at

Wherever you are and at any time of day or night you can now gain instant online access to Guernsey’s property market through a single website provided by design agency Coast Media, publishers of the island’s ultimate Underoneroof pink property guide.

The newly developed site at retains the familiar corporate colours of the magazine but it has now been updated to the latest web standards to enable instant viewing of hundreds of local properties, from town flats to country mansions, direct from the books of ten of the island’s leading estate agents, both to buy and to rent.

The brand new search engine provides immediate access to the basic details of every property listed on the site, which means that instead of having to search through each individual estate agent’s website for the home of their desires, prospective buyers can now simply go to and see them all with a few clicks on their smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

‘We’ve been developing the search engine for many months, we believe it’s the only one of its kind in the Channel Islands to work as it does and it gives fantastic, unequalled ease of access to Guernsey’s property market through the vast majority of web devices,’ explained Coast Media director Katie Blampied.

‘The beauty of our website is that all the basic information is there under one virtual rooftop,’ added creative director Michelle Griffiths. ‘When you see something you really like the look of you can click straight through to the detailed information for that particular property on the agent’s website via a new window or tab, which means when you are ready you can go back to your search without having to re-enter any details.’

The information is updated every day and the search engine enables users to tailor their searches to certain parishes or parts of the island and to homes that fall within any chosen price range. Having established the search criteria, all the properties in that price range and/or location on the website will be identified, no matter which agents have them on their books.

The website has been developed so the page content grows responsively whether viewing on a smartphone, tablet or desktop PC. The site is visually stunning and is easily viewed and navigated.

The website also has additional information pages, covering mortgages, legal advice, information about the magazine itself – which contains a link to the Underoneroof App and a page turnable version of the latest issue – and contact details.

The new website is also designed to complement the magazine Underoneroof, which has an even stronger presence throughout the island in 2014 following the introduction of a new distribution system earlier this month. Each issue of the pink property paper is now delivered free to 22,000 homes, with another 1, 500 free copies available through a variety of popular retail outlets.
