Heritage has supported the Charity Sprints in 2010 and 2011 and the Charity Hillclimb this year with £90,000 being raised so far.  The charities supported were the Pink Ladies in 2010 with £22,500, The Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief in 2011 with £35,200 and this year Headway Guernsey and the Lions Club of Guernsey with £32,000.

We are pleased to support the Lions Club again in 2013 when the event will be bigger and better. It will be held over the weekend of the 29th& 30thJune and will be known as the “Heritage Charity Motoring Festival”. This will comprise of a Sprint on the Saturday along the VazonCoast Road and a Hillclimb on the Sunday at the Val des Terres. We hope that this event will raise over £40,000,which will further contribute towards our five year target of £150,000 for local charities.

The event is organised by the Lions Club who will benefit from half of the final amount raised.

With the remaining half, two local charities are set to benefit by receiving a donation ofup to £10,000 each to invest in a project for which they require assistance. We would like to ask any local charities who wish to be considered to write in with the details of what they would put the money towards to events@heritage.co.gg. The deadline for submissions is Friday 14th December 2012 with the successful charities being announced on Monday 7th January 2013.

We look forward to hearing from those charities that would like to be considered as nominees in 2013.
