KPMG GUERNSEY ACHIEVES INVESTOR IN PEOPLE ACCREDITATION
Guernsey News, 19 November 2009 – KPMG Channel Islands Limited is celebrating after recently being awarded the nationally recognised Investors in People (IIP) accreditation.
The IIP award is the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard and has helped thousands of organisations of all sizes across different sectors to improve the way their business performs. KPMG Channel Islands Limited is delighted that it has become the latest Channel Islands’ company to gain recognition by Investors in People. It is the 25th company to receive the award in Guernsey.
‘It is a huge achievement for every member of staff in Guernsey and Jersey and it is an endorsement of the type of employer, company and member of the local community that we are proud to be. We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved accreditation,’ said KPMG Channel Islands Limited Chairman Larry Catterson.
‘The assessors interviewed more than 40 staff from all departments across both offices in Jersey and Guernsey. From those interviews, we were able to report that our staff are highly focused, have clear ownership of KPMG’s key priorities and consider KPMG to have excellent opportunities for development.
‘As a company which has placed a great emphasis on our work within the community and on our Employer of Choice programme, we were particularly proud that the assessors made specific comments on KPMG’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and commitment to its People Agenda. I want to congratulate every member of staff for their input towards KPMG Channel Islands Limited gaining this accreditation.’
