KPMG is hosting an open day for university graduates and A-level school leavers on Wednesday 25 July from 4pm in the Lennox Suite at the Duke of Richmond Hotel.
Ambitious students from a wide range of academic disciplines are encouraged to attend and find out what a career in a leading global accountancy firm can offer.
Guests will be given the chance to benefit from the advice and experience of the firm’s staff from its tax, audit and advisory services departments. Along with a general introduction to the firm itself, presentations will also be given on the firm’s sports and social club and it’s corporate citizenship program, the latter featuring an individual who recently returned from volunteer work in Tanzania.
KPMG’s HR executive director, Debbie Smith sees this as a great opportunity for students to see first-hand the kind of career progression that is possible for those who dedicate themselves to this profession:
“Students from all backgrounds who are interested in a career in accountancy are welcome to come along. We will provide a series of short presentations from staff with the hope of showing the diverse careers and excellent training options we offer as well as longer term career prospects,” she said.
Attendees will have the chance to talk on a more personal basis with KPMG’s staff and explore training opportunities, professional qualifications in accountancy and tax, and simply gain an insight in to the day-to-day life within the firm.
