Liberation Group has stepped in to offer people who hold Jessops or HMV gift vouchers an opportunity to redeem them against the cost of a meal at any of their Channel Island venues.
The company, which owns 68 pubs, bars and eateries across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, doesn’t want Islanders to lose out from the news that both stores are no longer willing to accept gift vouchers that were purchased before they both went into receivership.
The offer, which is valid for any customer booking a table, in any of the groups managed pubs, bars or eateries, for up to six people between Monday and Thursday, until 21st February 2013, will enable people to receive a discount based on the face value of a valid HMV or Jessops gift voucher. Thus, for every £20 spent Liberation Group will give a discount of £5, up to the maximum value of the voucher, and provided that the discount claimed is not greater than the face value of the voucher.
Kenrick Brooks, Operations Director of Liberation Group, said: ‘Many Islanders will have been given gift vouchers for Christmas and we thought it would be such a shame if they were not able to receive some value for them. We believe that offering something back for these vouchers, which are likely to be unredeemable at the two stores, will go some way to cheering people up.’
There are some conditions that apply and customers are advised to check with their chosen venue when booking their table, or ordering their meal.
