Luke Jones has been selected to receive the Hampshire RFU 18 Group Robbie Keast Memorial Trophy. It is the Hampshire RFU’s most prestigious youth trophy and is being awarded to Luke as he was voted to be their best youth player last season. There have been two Channel Island players to receive this award previously; both are from Jersey; Dave Felton in 2007 and Richard Sinel in 2011.
This Saturday the annual CI Hampshire RFU meeting is scheduled and a number of the committee are in Guernsey. They will be invited to a briefing about the new KGV development in the morning and attending the Guernsey vs Tring game in the afternoon as part of their visit.
Luke’s parents will be presented the award on behalf of Luke at 2.25PM in the Guernsey RFU Clubhouse at the Garenne Stand. (Luke is unable to attend as he is playing for the Tigers on that day and unavailable for release)
