AN INCREASE in the number of islanders with more complex insurance needs has led to the expansion of Rossborough’s private clients team.
Rossborough’s managing director Ian Stewart said a growth of high net worth business had prompted the company to take on another staff member to work in the area of private clients.
‘We‘re seeing more people with classic cars, pieces of art and holiday homes elsewhere that need a more specialised approach from an insurance point of view. A number of our clients have begun looking at alternative forms of investment such as artwork, jewellery and stamps, and the insurance requirements for these types of things often fall outside of the realms of a standard policy,’ he said.
The latest member to join the team is former personal lines broker, Simmone Fletcher, who entered a career in insurance after leaving school in 2008; she has been with Rossborough for four years.
‘Rossborough has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and offers the potential for career progression,’ said the 22-year-old, who is studying towards her final exam to complete the Certificate in Insurance.
‘I am confident that I can provide our clients with a personal service for all of their insurance requirements. I’m looking forward to progressing and growing within the personal lines department and furthering my career with Rossborough.’
Mr Stewart said Miss Fletcher would be an asset to the private clients team, which, he said, was dedicated to offering private client premium quality polices and the highest level of service.
‘Not only is Simmone knowledgeable and competent she is a team player who throws herself into everything she does. As a member of the Rossborough Rockets she took part in last year’s It’s a Knockout and did the company proud at this year’s Everest Challenge and Race for Life.’
