Leading offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has strengthened its Litigation practice by recruiting eleven additional litigators in the lead up to 2013.  The recruitment is to keep up with increased client demand for the firm’s offshore litigation services in the BVI, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey.

Four litigators have joined in the Cayman Islands: associates Alexandra Bethell and Amy Bond together with paralegals Tisha Cooper and Claire Doyle, two in Jersey; associate Katie Hooper and paralegal Katie Phillips, and five in Guernsey; associates Rhys Williams, Katherine Beach, Sally French, Chris Duncan and Robin Cowling.

Secondments within the Litigation practice have also led to senior associate Rocco Cecere moving to the Cayman Islands, associate Fleur O’Driscoll moving to the BVI and counsel Nicholas Fox moving to Mourant Ozannes’ office in Hong Kong.

With 17 partners and a further 65 lawyers and legal assistants, Mourant Ozannes has the largest Litigation practice of any offshore firm.

Jonathan Rigby, Global Managing Partner at Mourant Ozannes, said: ‘We are pleased to have added such high calibre recruits and expanded further our Litigation practice.  We pride ourselves on our values of client commitment and promoting excellence and, over the last year, the Litigation practice at Mourant Ozannes has delivered excellent results for our clients, dealing with their disputes in an efficient and effective manner.  We will continue to invest in the Litigation practice to meet client demand and to ensure that we can continue to provide excellent levels of service.’
