GEOMARINE Guernsey has a new managing director and three new directors.
Ian Gilmour will be taking on the role of managing director with Matt Brooks continuing in his position as commercial director.
Wedd Osmond, one of the founders of Geomarine and a respected member of Guernsey’s engineering industry, returns to the board and is joined by new directors Gary Stevenson and Tom Whitmore. Mr Stevenson has been with the company for more than 12 years and will continue with his operations manager duties as well as sitting on the board. Mr Whitmore is a qualified civil engineer and is responsible for looking after some of Geomarine’s more technical contracts, including marine work.
Garenne Group chief executive Andy Hall said the new board of directors would take forward what has been one of the island’s most successful engineering companies.
‘The new board with its blend of experience, youth and enthusiasm will continue to offer customers an excellent service covering all aspects of civil engineering contracting. Earlier this year, Geomarine completed its 2,000th contract and I am confident that the company will continue to grow under the leadership of the new directors,’ he said.
