ODDSOCKS will be making a welcome return to the Island when they present Treasure Island at St James later this month.
The nationally acclaimed theatre company will be putting their own unique spin on the famous story by Robert Louis Stevenson during a run of four nights from Wednesday 15 – Saturday 18 January 2014.
Prepare to board the good ship Hispaniola with young Jim Hawkins as he sets sail with a motley crew of gentlemen, “salty old sea dogs” and, of course, the mysterious, charismatic but definitely dodgy, one legged, Long John Silver. They arrive at Skeleton Island, to claim the treasure buried long ago by the infamous old Captain Flint. Along the way, young Jim is to encounter treachery, mutiny, piracy and danger.
Will Jim emerge stronger, braver, fitter and ultimately triumphant? Come along and find out as Oddsocks bring you live music, breathtaking fights, exciting explosions, hilarious characters and much, much more in Treasure Island.
Tickets are available from the St James Box Monday – Friday 9am – 2pm, telephone 711361, or online at www.guernseytickets.gg
Pre-show suppers will be available from Jimmy’s Café on each night of the performance. For further details and to make a reservation call Emma on 714175.
