The island’s leading agents will launch their innovative product today, 5 December, and will be updating monthly bulletins thereafter.
The programme is intended to complement the comprehensive service that the company already provides. The programme is produced and directed locally by Spike productions.
‘It is a great interactive way of telling people about the property market in Guernsey,’ said Swoffers Director Andre Austin. ‘In a competitive market place it is important to remain one step ahead of our rivals and this pioneering new approach will be in addition to the high level of expertise and services we already provide.’
Swoffers, which celebrated its 40th birthday this year, were keen to develop a PR angle that has not previously be pursued by agents in Guernsey.
‘We always appreciate that we need to listen to our clients and this year we have supported all genres of advertising in the island – Swoffers TV was the obvious next step. The exposure we give our clients’ properties is second to none and this year we have featured in the local press, on local radio and we even made an appearance on national television,’ added Mr Austin.
Swoffers TV will feature new developments, new instructions, distinctive houses and topical property related stories which are pertinent to purchasers and vendors. There is also advice on legal matters – a special feature called ‘Property Matters’ is in association with www.collascrill.com – and viewers will be offered an insight into the working life of an estate agency.
The company’s Local Market team has enjoyed a very successful, if challenging, 2012 and in the first programme Director Spencer Noyon talks about the abolishment of mortgage interest relief and the market as we head into 2013.
There is also a sneak preview of a high profile development of local and Open Market apartments and a chance to hear from the developers behind that scheme.
Swoffers was responsible for 65 per cent of Open Market sales in 2011 and had maintained that market share in 2012.
The bulletin is aired on You Tube and can be viewed on Swoffers.co.uk.
