The Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA) has appointed an expert in telecommunications.
Kevin Werry, who previously worked as a consultant to CICRA, the OUR and the JCRA, has over 23 years of telecoms experience in various countries.
Mr Werry has held a number of positions in the industry that include the management of an access network rollout, technical support for licence bids, project management of the launch of a voice portfolio, full telecoms product launch management and bandwidth product management.
Mr Werry’s expertise includes implementing a range of technical operations for fixed and mobile networks. He has also provided expert support in a number of litigation cases relating to the telecoms sector.
Mr Werry holds an Engineering Masters degree in communications, information and electronic engineering. He is a Chartered engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Interim chief executive of CICRA, Michael Byrne, said: “Kevin’s expertise in this industry will help strengthen our focus on telecommunications matters. Having worked with us as a consultant for over 10 years we know that his knowledge will greatly enhance the capabilities of the CICRA team.”
