LEGIS Group has seen a number of promotions come in to effect this month, including two significant senior appointments.

Samantha Renouf has been appointed as a director of Legis Trust and Corporate Administration Limited and David Walker has been promoted to associate director of Legis Fund Services Limited.

As a newly appointed director to the Board, Ms Renouf will head the trust and corporate operations, responsible for the day-to-day running of the department and ensuring adherence to service standards and policies and procedures.

Mr Walker is now head of the Fund Accounting Team with responsibility for managing and overseeing the financial reporting process for a variety of fund structures, many of which are listed on a number of stock exchanges including London, Ireland and Johannesburg.

Guernsey-born Ms Renouf began her career in the financial services sector in 1984 and later became a director at Rawlinson & Hunter, where she worked with high-net-worth individuals and family office arrangements with complex accounting requirements. After relocating off-island to assist with the establishment of the firm’s Monaco operation, Ms Renouf returned to Guernsey and joined Legis group in 2009, becoming associate director of the company’s trust department in January 2010.

Mr Walker is a Fellow of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants and has a BA (Hons) from Leeds University. Since his return to Guernsey he has spent 15 years in the finance sector, gaining experience with Ernst & Young, auditing clients across several sectors of the industry, before moving to Client Accounting and Trust and Company administration. Prior to joining Legis in January 2008, David was Senior Manager of Equity Trust (Guernsey) Limited client accounting.

Stuart Platt-Ransom, group managing director of the Legis Group, believes the promotion of each staff member is testimony to the continued growth and development of the company, as well as the recognition of individual talent.

“Both Samantha and David are highly deserving of their new appointments and join a string of recent promotions within the firm.

“Last year was a successful one, Legis continues to see positive growth and evolve as a company and we remain committed to providing the best possible services and solutions to our clients. It is the expertise and dedication of staff like Samantha and David that allows this continued success,” he said.
