Two world class acts to perform at the Dyslexia Day Centre Spellbound Ball
Guernsey News, 18 February 2010 – Islanders are in for a truly magical night at the Dyslexia Day Centre Spellbound Ball, sponsored by Investec. The spellbinding evening event will take place on Saturday 6 March from 7pm at St Pierre Park.
Entertainment at the charity ball will include a sensational performance by Marsha Raven, one of the world’s top tribute acts. The US singer, now living in the UK, has successfully recorded and sold albums impersonating one of the greatest divas of our time, Tina Turner.
Another sparkling highlight will be the performance of the engaging mind reader and comedian of international repute, Graham Jolley. He can analyse handwriting, make a wine glass shatter with mental energy and levitate a table.
Chairman of the Dyslexia Day Centre, Mike O’Hara said he was extremely excited about seeing the performances by Marsha and Graham. “These are first class acts that have performed in front of audiences across the world and we are so lucky to have them here in Guernsey.” he said. “This will be a fantastic evening of entertainment, while at the same time raising funds for the Dyslexia Day Centre.”
Investec Trust managing director, Jane Kerins said: “The Dyslexia Day Centre is a remarkable organisation that contributes so widely to the community. We are proud to support the DDC and the tremendous amount of work it does. I am sure the Spellbound Ball will be a success and hopefully it will raise significant funds for the charity.”
Tickets cost £50 and include dinner; dress is black tie. Tickets are available from Teresa on 252655 or 07781 105 361 or email dyslexiadaycentre@cwgsy.ney
