VIRTUS Trust Limited has strengthened its Board with the appointment of two new directors.
Jon Seymour and Steve Kirk officially took up their new roles in January 2013 having both been with the company for just under three years.
Mr Kirk, 50, joined Virtus Trust in May 2010 as its management accountant having previously spent over 25 years working in the Guernsey finance sector. His primary role is to manage the financial affairs of the company and its multi-jurisdictional subsidiaries and he is also responsible for its key operational activities including IT systems.
“I am very pleased to be part of a highly motivated and dynamic company that provides a first class service to its clients. Since joining I have been involved with streamlining and enhancing various aspects of the financial function as well as implementing a more robust and resilient IT infrastructure,” said Mr Kirk.
Mr Seymour, 33, has spent time working in various jurisdictions as well as in Guernsey’s fiduciary sector where he began as a graduate trainee. In his current role he oversees and administers a global portfolio of ultra-high net worth clients from around the world.
“It is very gratifying to be rewarded with this promotion. Virtus Trust is a niche business recognised for providing our clients with highly personal and professional tailor-made solutions,” said Mr Seymour, who is also a member of STEP.
Nicholas Moss, a co-founding director of Virtus Trust, commented: “We are very pleased to announce these appointments, both of which are well deserved. This follows the initiative started in 2011 when Trevor Pinchemain was appointed as our first non-founder director.
“Now with a board of five locally based directors, Jon and Steve’s skillsets will further enhance the company’s reputation for excellent client service and delivery as well as operational support. It is also in line with the company’s objectives to put in place a robust succession arrangement,” he said.
“We hope to announce further senior appointments shortly regarding our off-island business development team lead by Roderick Balfour, reflecting the continuing success of Virtus Trust’s business.”
