Congratulations to Liesja Grut for co-curating this “Etched in Memories” Exhibition of our great grandfather – Thomas Grut’s photographes. It sounds very exciting and We, the 15-10 family members from Canada, England and New Zealand would love to see it but Our Family Reunion in Guernsey will not be until May 10 so we will miss it by a month. Our grandmother Elsie Hunkin(nee Grut) used to help in the Photographic Shop before she was married. Best Wishes and may it be a huge success.

This is only slightly misleading

“Guernsey financial institutions will need to report all income sources and assets, not just US-source income as required under FATCA.

This statement is not true – FATCA has always required (eventual) reporting of all relevant assets and income of US persons – it is QI that only requires US sourced income reporting. FATCA requires withholding of 30% of US sourced income where the account holder does not comply with documentation requests or declines to participate, which is where the confusion may arise.

I note with renewed hope the appointment of Sally Jones and R.B.S’s commitment to customer care ! As a customer of several years, formally dealt with by Neil Dephic and Michelle, I have found it impossible so far to talk to or email anybody since I was refused withdrawal of cash from my account earlier this year. I would appreciate either a telephone number to call ( not a call centre please) or an email address to get the answer to a few questions . Thank you ROGER MITCHELL

I am a woman who is past child bearing age but i have 3 grown up children,
I feel that if people want to have childern and stay at home then let them pay for it. It should’nt be the working person who has to be deducted another 2.5% taken from there hard earned wages to pay for them staying at home. My daughter is a single hard working mother who will be stugling financially of this comes into fruicion. i cant beleive that the states has no money for our retirements but can pay youngsters to stay at home as usual.
